The most valuable Indian exports also include medicines, milled rice, jewelry and frozen beef. Another international trade highlight for 2015 is the strong increase in India’s gold sales.

The following list shows which Indian exports pulled in the most money during 2015. Unlike most information currently available on the web, the items below are detailed at the 4-digit tariff code level. More granular details on export sales can help entrepreneurs identify precisely which products in which India has strong competitive advantages over other nations, also focus on lucrative opportunities for innovation.

Below are the 20 highest value export products shipped from India in 2015. Shown within brackets is the 4-digit harmonized tariff system code for each item.

Among these product categories, India’s aircraft and spacecraft posted an increase in export sales up 5, 019% from 2011 to 2015. Unprocessed gold shipments rose in value by 1, 102%.

In third place were exported lobsters and other crustaceans, which appreciated 92.1% over the same 5-year period. Medication mixes in dosage increased in value by 60.2%.

India’s exported rice showed a respectable gain of 56.5% as did frozen beef up 56.4%.

For all Indian export products, there was an average decline of -12.4% from 2011 to 2015.
